I don't even know where to begin when it comes to Dewey & Renata. I originally met Dewey when he was a groomsman in another wedding I photographed and it was a few years later when I got the call that he was engaged and wanted me to meet with him and his Bride-to-be. During our consultation Dewey showed me my business card that I gave him years before and it was all beat up and a little crinkled but that was probably the most touching thing to me because he held on to it for so long and actually called.

Dewey & Renata originally met in high school and reconnected about 15 years later right before Renata was deployed. (she's active duty in the Air Force) Renata says she knew Dewey was the one when she realized that he didn't have to "buy" her affection because she always loved receiving gifts so much. Dewey knew she was the one because a moment came when he stopped thinking "I" and started thinking "We". Everybody say....awwwwww!

So many amazing details came together for this special wedding day. Even Renata herself dug into the details by embellishing a pair of Converse chucks for herself and each bridesmaid. I don't know how she did it, but she did and perfectly might I add. Renata also got the surprise of a lifetime when one of her best friends, who is stationed in Germany, told Renata that she couldn't make the wedding but her beautiful and thoughtful bridesmaids had a top secret mission. Not only did her bestie come from Germany to New Jersey for the wedding, she was also adorned in a maid of honor dress with hair and makeup to match ready to join the bridal party and stand by Renata's side. You can see below the exact moment when Renata saw her. I don't think there was a dry eye in the whole bridal party. As you can see, I could go on and on and on about these two because they really are great and you can easily see how much Dewey loves his wife. He lets her be herself and she adores her sweet husband and that makes them super awesome in my book. TO THE BRIDE AND GROOM!!!!
